The 9th Annual Treehugger's Ball and Sustainability Fair at the Santiago Event Center (off of Black Star Canyon Rd in Silverado area) is on Saturday, June 1st from 4PM-11PM. Please feel free to call 714-649-9084, if you have any questions. The event raises funds to preserve the threatened Santa Ana Mountain range, Orange County's largest wild and scenic area. We have been fortunate to have Darryl Hannah as the guest speaker/activist for the past 2 years. The event includes a environmental outreach activities, family entertainment, 7 hours of live music and dancing, and gourmet food trucks.

Come experience some good ol' straight up Bluegrass and Gospel in Scott's latest incarnation "New Dogs, Old Tricks". Returning to his traditional bluegrass roots, Scott has found like minded friends and formed a band with young Mandolinist Zach Ostgaard. Zach sings and provides solid mandolin playing while Scott covers flatpicking guitar duty and lead vocals. Also in this ensemble is Kevin Gore (Witcher Brothers, Silverado) on Banjo and vocals, young fiddler extraordinaire Juliette Bascom (12) and Bass Player Chuck Hailes rounding out the group. This band will bring back the days of the Carter Family and Stanley Brothers as they bring you the early roots of Americana music that Scott was raised on. Come support this fun new venture and get ready for a toe tapping, knee slapping good time.

Mission: A film festival dedicated to independent filmmakers inspired by the human & natural communities of the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California and beyond.
A weekend series of indoor & outdoor screenings of independent films created by local filmmakers about the Santa Ana Mountains and beyond. Enjoy live music, healthy food, and Q&A with filmmakers. To honor Huell Howser's local legacy, this year's theme is "In the footsteps of Huell."
